Astros clinch first playoff trip since 2005

PHOENIX, AZ (FOX 26) - The Astros lost on Sunday 5-3 to the Diamondbacks.

It doesn't matter because they already had their playoff spot clinched.

This will be Houston's first trip to the MLB postseason since 2005.

The Astros had nailed down their postseason spot by virtue of the Rangers beating the Angels earlier on Sunday.

They will now head to the Bronx on Tuesday to face the Yankees in the AL Wild-Card game.
