NORMAN (FOX 26) - Former Allen High School star quarterback Kyler Murray has decided on Oklahoma as his next destination after transferring from Texas A&M.
Murray just completed his freshman season with the Aggies, a season in which he totaled over a thousand yards (686 passing, 335 rushing) in eight games, including three starts.
Oklahoma announced the signing on their website and social media in an article written by their Assistant Athletic Director.
In the article, Sooners head coach Bob Stoops said of Murray, "We're very happy to welcome Kyler to our program and we look forward to working with him."
Murray was the National Gatorade Football Player of the Year after the 2014-15 season. It was the end to a career at Allen High School where Murray was 43-0. In his senior season alone, Murray accounted for 54 passing touchdowns and 25 rushing touchdowns.
Murray was one of two Aggies quarterbacks, the other being Kyle Allen, to transfer following the recent college football regular season. Murray is also highly regarded as a baseball prospect.
