Astros outfielder Rasmus named AL Player of the Week

- Astros outfielder Colby Rasmus has been named the AL Player of the Week.

In six games this week, Rasmus hit .316 with four home runs, 10 RBI, five runs, with a 1.458 OPS. Entering play on Monday, he was tied for the AL lead in home runs, is second in RBI, second in walks, and second in OPS.

An Astro has been named Player of the Week in all three weeks to start the year, the first time that's happened in the 43-year MLB history of the award. Tyler White was named AL Player of the Week to start the year. Jose Altuve was named AL Co-Player of the Week last week.
