(STORYFUL) - Prom was nearly ruined for Ohio teen Skyler Davis, who destroyed her brand new spray tan by streaking it with her tears.
Skyler uploaded a photo to Twitter, where it received plenty of attention. After she deleted the photo, it was uploaded to Imgur where it has been viewed more than three million times.
Skyler has since updated her Twitter bio to “I’m the spray tan girl” and uploaded photos to Instagram to show the fixed spray tan.
Beautician Carrie Jordan Lavigne applied the original tan and received a desperate phone call from Skyler’s mother about the situation. In a Facebook video, Carrie explains the tan needs eight to 12 hours “processing time”.
“You don’t want to come into contact with any moisture during this eight to 12 hours,” she said. “That includes tears, condensation anything like that. She had an unfortunate situation where she did have some tears.”
The incident spawned a new hashtag, #spraytantears.
Skyler's tan tears have since been fixed!
