The Future Is Now - wearable bubble gum

The Future Is Now!

No need for a porch and an end to package thieves, also known as porch pirates? Amazon launched a new service in 37 cities including Houston that delivers packages to your vehicle's trunk for free. You must be an Amazon Prime member, download the Amazon key app and have a vehicle compatible with an OnStar account or Volvo on Call account.

The key app will let you know if you are parked in the delivery area you selected and when the package is on its way.

Delivery drivers will receive one-time access to open the trunk of your vehicle and place your package inside it. You'll then receive an alert notifying you that your package has been delivered.

The Future Is Now!

Is wearable bubble gum the newest way to help the environment?

Gum lifted off the streets of Amsterdam in The Netherlands is being used to create a new type of rubber. That substance is then used to create the sole of a tennis shoe. It takes around two pounds of gum to make every four pairs of shoes. That amount is not a problem since the City of Amsterdam picks up almost three million pounds of gum off the streets every year! Only around 20 percent of the shoe is made up of gum while the rest is made from leather. The shoes will cost you around $230 and will go on sale in June.
