Make-A-Wish Child named Honorary Six Flags Park President

- A 7-year-old Make-A-Wish Georgia child was named Honorary Park President for the day at Six Flags over Georgia.

“Six Flags Over Georgia is honored to have Symeon become part of the Six Flags team,” said Six Flags Atlanta Properties Park President Dale Kaetzel. “We are thrilled to offer our guests world-class attractions and also help create lifelong memories for the youngest of guests battling life-threating illnesses.”

Symeon was presented with the Key to Six Flags, while acting as Honorary Park President. He helped open Bugs Bunny Boomtown, shadowed Kaetzel throughout the day, talked with guests, answered questions and brought smiles to all.

From Metro Atlanta, Symeon has been associated with Make-A-Wish Georgia for more than two years. He is an avid fan of Six Flags, always making his way to the Goldtown Racers GoKarts each time he visits the park. He was diagnosed with cancer, but has since been declared cancer-free.

“Symeon is one of nearly 7,000 amazing kids we’ve granted a wish to in our 21 years of serving Georgia children facing life-threatening medical conditions,” said Make-A-Wish Georgia Marketing and Communications Vice President Amy Alvarez. “Wishes are a movement powered by an incredible community like Six Flags at a time when a family needs it the most. We feel luck to have partners like Six Flags who are willing to create lifelong memories for our kids long after their wish.”

The park officially opened it’s new Bugs  Bunny Boomtown themed section, with 7 new rides and attractions.

Six Flags Over Georgia is now open on weekends through May 15 and daily April 2-10 for Spring Break.
