Jason Hewlett, a public speaker and entertainer, was having a typical day at Target when he approached the check out and a woman caught his eye.

She was "amazingly beautiful", and he couldn't help but think that "someone was lucky enough to be with her."

Hewlett shared his encounter on Facebook, which has now been shared over 170,000 times, and started off his post with "I sort of cheated on my wife today."

Hewlett first hints at a sense of guilt, then when we realize that the post takes a turn for the absolutely heartwarming. Hewitt realizes he knows the blonde beauty.

"In a split second I realized it was my wife!" Hewlett writes.

He says the encounter wasn't planned, and that he even tried getting his wife Tami's attention.

"I just watched my cute little Love, tried to text her stuff like, "Hey Hottie" and "What are you buying now my Babelicious?", none of which got her attention as she was looking for a coupon she'd saved just for this purchase."

When she didn't notice him, Hewlett felt secure in knowing she didn't have a wandering eye. Yet, he wondered how she "didn't see the creepy dude with the overgrown mink on his face peering over her shoulder.  I need to get her another can of mace just in case."

Hewlett's undeniable love for his little Love rounds out the post, with Hewlett saying that he didn't try to catch up to her after the pair left the store.

"Somehow I nabbed her despite my insecurities, inabilities, and imperfections. I never said anything, didn't flag her down, just watched her walk away, admiringly, knowing she's my wife and I love everything about this woman."

Hewlett said that Tami hardly checks her Facebook, so the chances of her seeing his post were slim and that she wouldn't know she was 'kind of cheated on today'.

The lesson of the day from Hewlett was simple.

"It's good to look at those we love with fresh eyes whenever we can to remind us how lucky we are to have their light in our lives."

UPDATE: Tami did finally see Hewlett's post and responded with one of her own.
