Drinking a half-bottle of wine before going to sleep can help you lose weight?
Researchers at Washington State and Harvard universities conducted a study based on 20,000 people and determined the ones who gained weight did not drink red wine, which contains the compound reservatrol found in red grapes. Two four-ounce glasses of red wine are the recommended serving size.
The Tox Doc Noreen Khan-Mayberry says the reservatrol prevents fat cells from expanding. For anyone who does not consume alcoholic beverages, The Tox Doc recommends that they drink juice from red grapes.
The researchers also determined during the study that sipping red wine before going to sleep may help curb late-night snacking.
