Horse seen running loose alongside U.S. 19

A horse that somehow got away from its owners was seen trotting north along U.S. 19 in Hudson early Wednesday morning.

The Pasco County Sheriff's deputy who spotted it called the sheriff's office agriculture unit for a little help and backup. "We're traveling at one horse power..." the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook.

The horse was successfully corralled after it was directed to take a left on Rainbow Oaks Dr.

Before it was corralled, the deputy was seen driving along side of it as it trotted ahead, paying no attention to the deputy whatsoever. "Can you stop? Please?" he is heard on video asking.

The horse was not injured and was reunited with its owners.
