HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houstonians won’t need a bread crumb trail to find this candy house—but please don’t eat the furniture!
The pastry team at Hilton Americas-Houston in downtown Houston has created a life-size gingerbread house using over one ton of gingerbread, chocolate, and sugar.
The outside of the house is constructed from gingerbread bricks with a chocolate porch. The inside is fully-furnished with chocolate furniture including a chocolate table, chocolate chair, and an old-fashioned chocolate stove. The scene is complete with sugar snow and a chocolate deer.
According to the hotel, over 1,000 man-hours were needed to create the life-size scene.
