Chug and run: New world record set for 'Beer Mile' in Texas

- Chug, run, repeat! Lewis Kent did just that and in record speed, winning the FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships in Austin, Texas, on December 4.

Kent, a 22-year-old Canadian cross-country runner and the world’s only professional beer-miler, shattered his own record with a time of 4:47:17, Outside Magazine reported.

The race requires competitors to run four laps around a track, stopping to swig a beer before each lap for a total of four drinks per race.
