Copperhead snakes have met their match -- she's a 72-year-old woman armed with a shotgun, a shovel, and a rake handle.

Mrs. Newby is getting a lot of attention after her neighbor Susan Thompson shared pictures on Facebook of Mrs. Newby and a 11 dead copperhead snakes.

"Mrs. Newby killed 11 copperheads last night at her house! She's a snake killer if you need help call her! She is 72 years old," Thompson wrote on Facebook.

Thompson posted the photos on Thursday with a snake count of 11, but by Sunday morning, Thompson said Mrs. Newby had killed 17.

Thompson said Mrs. Newby killed the snakes with a shotgun, a shovel, and a rake handle. She believes Mrs. Newby stumbled across a copperhead den under her old house trailer. She said there was a rattle snake den under there too.
