Female baseball fan destroys potential date in pun-filled text takedown

-

New York-based Milwaukee Brewers fan Megan Brown apparently has a goal in life to “travel to every Major League Baseball park,” and when she’s not posting on Twitter or Instagram about baseball, she could well be dressing up her dog in a Mets uniform. So, a pretty committed fan then. Pity a potential date didn’t seem to believe her when she said she was a big baseball nut.

In a March 29 tweet Brown shared a baseball pun-filled text she sent to the potential suitor informing him they wouldn’t be seeing each other again. After being asked by the guy in question to prove her baseball knowledge by naming all the National League East teams within 10 seconds, her reply read:

“It was nice to have Met(s) you, and maybe it was Brave(s) of you to ask his [sic] question, but it’s somewhat insulting. I could Phil(ies) you in on the answer, but I’ll have to pass. It seems to be a National(s) problem with men trying to Expos(e) (bonus!) girls for not being “real sports fans” instead of taking our word for it. But don’t worry — you know what they say — there’s other Marlins in the sea."
