Houston woman files lawsuit against trail riders and rodeo over rape

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A Houston woman has filed a lawsuit against the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a trail riders group saying she was raped.

23-year-old Brie Ana Williams says she was participating in a trail ride and party with Los Vaqueros when she was sexually assaulted in 2012 by two men who were a part of the group.  Both men we're convicted on the case. 

Now Williams is suing the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo along with Los Vaqueros. She says the groups failed then and continue to fail to make the environment on the trail ride in safe. 

The rodeo issued a statement saying what happened to Williams in 2012 was two months for the rodeo and they have no liability. Los Vaqueros reps did not return our calls.
