Wife finds husband shot to death outside SW Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON, TX - HPD investigators say a Good Samaritan was killed overnight in southwest Houston. Houston police say around midnight, a husband was coming home from work when he went to check out what he thought was a woman fighting with two men outside his apartment on Creekbend drive near Fondren.

Investigators say that after the man and his wife heard noise and arguing outside their apartment, the man went outside in the parking lot to check out the disturbance. His wife then heard some gun shots moments after and ran outside to discover her husband had been shot twice--in the head and the abdomen. Police say two Hispanic males were seen running from the scene.
