Videos released in Oct. 9 home burglary of officer's home

- Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Police Department Investigative First Responders Division is seeking help from the public to identify two men responsible for the burglary of an officer's home on Oct. 9. The officer arrived to his home on Liberty Road near Englewood Street and determined it was burglarized. He noticed that one of the burglars entered the home by removing a panel before stealing several items.

Surveillance cameras captured video of two males entering the property and stealing a generator, wheel rims, four ramps and a car jack. A Craftsman brand lawnmower was also damaged during the burglary. The men ran away from the home and placed the items inside a grocery store shopping cart.

Crime Stoppers of Houston describes both burglars as black men between the approximately ages of 25 and 35 years old who weigh between 175 and 210 lbs. Both men also had beards and mustaches. One of the men wore a light-colored sweater, sweat pants and a beanie cap, while the other wore a dark-colored baseball cap, a black shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information about the identity of the robber is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston by phone at 713-222-8477 (TIPS), online by visiting, by text message by sending TIP610 and the information to 274637 (CRIMES) or with the Houston Crime Stoppers in the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store and the Blackberry App World. Crime Stoppers is willing to pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect in this case. People who submit information to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous.
