The Harris County Precinct One Constable's Office reports that one person has been arrested following the early-morning burglary of Metro PCS store on Monday on Antoine Drive near Bridge Forest Drive.
Deputy constables arrived to the store parking lot after someone called and reported that he could see suspects on surveillance video inside the Metro PCS store. A deputy constable watched as one person was crouched on the sidewalk outside the store building. As the deputy constable approached, that suspect ran away.
The suspect ran around a quarter of a mile and jumped into a waiting vehicle, leading to a vehicle chase with additional deputy constables.
The chase ended after around thirteen minutes when the suspect's vehicle struck a parked car on Guhn Road near Grow Lane. One suspect, identified as 19-year-old Roberto Loredo, ran away but was captured and arrested on suspicion of evading.
During the investigation, deputy constables determined that the suspects broke the glass in front of the vacant space next to the Metro PCS store and cut through the sheetrock to gain access into the store.
Surveillance video shows another suspect repeatedly using a sledgehammer in the attempt to crack the safe inside the store, although he was never able to open it.
