Uber today expanded the UberEATS business to a new, standalone app, marking the first time the company has launched a separate app outside the ability to request rides.
The new app also features a new delivery service. Now EATS will deliver seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. from over 100 of Houston’s best restaurants. The EATS service area is also more than tripling in size.
The new app launches with more than 100 restaurants on tap, including Ouisie's Table, El Tiempo, Mala Sichuan, The Halal Guys, and Revival Market.
“Through Uber Eats, I’m able to connect with new customers using technology,” said restaurant partner Ryan Pera, Chef/Owner of Revival Market. “Our food has further reach, and we’re able to provide a quality product in a convenient, affordable way.”
The existing UberEATS service (5-7 dishes from top restaurants in as little as 10 minutes) is now available as the Instant Delivery option in the UberEATS app and will continue being served 11-2 p.m.
How It Works
1. Download the UberEATS app from both the iTunes and Android app stores.
2. Login with your same Uber account credentials
3. Select a restaurant, and choose what you want to eat from their menu
4.Please “place order” and hang tight while your food is prepared, or follow along in the app to track the status of your order.
5.An Uber delivery partner will deliver your order to your door, or curbside if you selected an item from the Instant Delivery menu.
6. Your receipt will be emailed to your email address associated with your Uber account.
The new UberEATS app is available in Downtown, Midtown, Montrose, The Heights, Upper Kirby, River Oaks, Rice, West U, and the Galleria.
In addition to Houston, the new uberEATS app is available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. For more information, visit uber.com/houeats
