Two Fort Hood soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Two soldiers deployed from Fort Hood died Saturday, November 12 in Bagram, Afghanistan due to injuries sustained from an apparent suicide bomber.

The Department of Defense announced their deaths today and identified the soldiers as Staff Sgt. John W. Perry, 30, of Stockton, Cali., and Pfc. Tyler R. Iubelt, 20, of Tamaroa, Ill.

Perry entered the U.S. Army in January 2008. He deployed from August 2010 to July 2011 and again from September 2016 to November 2016.

Iubelt entered the U.S. Army in November 2015. He deployed from September 2016 to November 2016.
