Two people have died and one person has been taken by Life Flight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital after a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 in Waller County.
Houston fire fighter Jason D. Hamilton was one of the people killed in the accident. Hamilton was a 12-year veteran of the Houston Fire Department. HFD released a statement about his passing:
The Houston Fire Department is deeply saddened by the death of our beloved brother Jason D Hamilton. According to authorities, Hamilton was involved in a motor vehicle accident on I-10 and Brookshire while off duty. Hamilton was 43 yrs. old and a 12-year veteran of the Houston Fire Department. He was assigned as an Engineer Operator at Station 21 in South West Houston. He is survived by his wife, Laura and his two sons Bruce (9yr old) and Cody (17yr old). The Houston Fire Department is asking the citizen of Houston to keep the Hamilton family in their thoughts and prayers.

A truck was traveling eastbound on the I-10 when the driver experienced a problem with the tire which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The truck moved into the westbound lane and struck a car.
One person in the truck and one person in the car were killed as a result of the crash. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are conducting an investigation into the accident.
