Truck driver gives waitress a $2K tip
ROLAND, Okla. - A truck driver passing through Oklahoma on Mother's Day left a waitress a $2,000 tip at the end of his meal.
According to the waitress, Brenda Pearson, it was a slow day at the Four Star Diner in Roland, so she began chatting up one of her customers who ordered a cheeseburger to go.
When it came time to pay, the man told her he'd be giving her a $1,000 tip.
Pearson says the hefty tip came as a complete surprise. Even more shocking to her, when he came back in an hour later to pick up some pie, he decided to leave her another thousand dollars.
"Two children at home. I've been a stay at home mom for a couple of years. it will help us get caught up on the move and it was just a God send," said Pearson.
