Tropical Storm Harvey forms in Atlantic Ocean
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (FOX 26) - Tropical Storm Harvey has formed in the Atlantic Ocean and will be moving into the Caribbean Sea over the weekend. It appears the system will eventually move into the far southern Gulf of Mexico and is projected to become a hurricane.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for the following islands:
- Martinique
- St. Lucia
- Barbados
- St. Vincent and the Grenadines
A tropical storm watch is in effect for Dominica.
Tropical Storm Harvey is moving westward at a speed of 18 mph with 40 mph winds.
