HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Centerpoint Energy is on the scene of a tower collapse that has caused a power outage for residents just east of downtown Houston.
The tower collapse happened at the corner of Clinton and Bringhurst in Houston's Fifth Ward neighborhood. The power outage is said to have impacted residents and businesses in the area.
Residents in the area reported hearing a loud boom, and felt a tremor around 3:45 p.m. when the tower collapsed.
Centerpoint is working to restore power to its customers as soon as possible. The cause of the tower collapse is still being investigated.
