Officers are searching for the person who stole a Houston Police Department bait vehicle outside NRG Stadium just after 12 a.m. Tuesday. The car was later found near Cedar Crest Road with no sign of the thief.

A FedEx driver barely escaped a tornado in Louisiana. A video shows the woman running up to a hardware store attempting to find cover, but the doors were locked. She hid behind a nearby drink machine just seconds before the F-3 tornado destroyed that store. She says she had to hold on to the door until the twister passed.

The battle between Apple and the FBI has now shifted to Capitol Hill. FBI director James Comey testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, along with the chief attorney for Apple. The issue at stake is privacy versus national security. The FBI wants Apple to help unlock an iPhone used by the San Bernardino shooter.

A senior U.S. intelligence official says newly-declassified documents show Osama bin Laden was deeply paranoid. After years of hiding. the documents also revealed bin Laden wanted to move from his compound before the 9/11 10-year commemoration in 2011. bin Laden was killed in May of that year.

Happy Independence Day to the great state of Texas. March 2 marks the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence. The Republic of Texas officially broke from Mexico 180 years ago when a declaration was passed by 59 delegates without debate.
