- One person is in the hospital after a shooting in Pasadena. It happened last night in front of the Marshalls story on fairway plaza. Police are not releasing too many details about the shooting.


Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is calling for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the U.S.  Until our country's representatives figure out what's going on."  Aides say that would apply to both immigrants and tourists.


Later this morning, governor Greg Abbott and senator Ted Cruz will hold a news conference in Austin to discuss legislation addressing the Obama administration's effort to resettle Syrian refugees in the U.S.

          It comes after two Syrian families arrived in Texas yesterday. One in Houston. 

          Nine other refugees are expected to arrive in Houston on Thursday


Today is the last day to vote early in the runoff election.
