- There are new demands for answers and new calls for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign after Chicago police shot and killed two people over the weekend.

According to autopsy results, 55-year-old Bettie Jones and 19-year-old man Quintonio Legrier both died from gunshot wounds.

The teen was hit as police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex. They say Jones; a downstairs neighbor was shot accidentally.

Chicago police say the officer involved will be on administrative duty until an investigation is completed.

The man who fell off a San Diego cliff while using a camera or cellphone has been identified. Police say 33-year-old Joshua Burwell was visiting south California from Indiana. He slipped and plunged 40 feet onto the rocks from a beach cliff on Christmas day.

Burwell’s mother posted on Facebook that he died while taking pictures.

An autopsy will be performed to determine how a man died in his cell at the Harris county jail. Police say the 33-year-old man was jailed after he was arrested Saturday night for public intoxication.

They say he resisted the initial arrest and even punched the walls inside the jail.

he was found yesterday morning, unresponsive on the floor.
