Pasadena police are trying to figure out what happened in a deadly chemical leak at Peroxy Chem.

One person died and three others were injured in the explosion that occurred Saturday afternoon. At least 1,000 gallons of cleaning solution chemical mix was released.

The chemicals did not escape the facility and there was no danger to the general public.

Power is still out for some people in the fifth ward. A high tension power pole collapsed near the intersection of Clinton and Waco, Saturday night. Right now investigators aren’t what caused the pole to fall.

The pole belongs to CenterPoint Energy. It’s mostly a commercial area, but there were some families without power.

CenterPoint Energy’s website says that power is expected to be restored this morning
