Three people rescued from stranded sailboat in Galveston

Coast Guard officials report that 3 people onboard a sailboat in Galveston have been rescued. Authorities say they were sailing around the jetty when the sun went down, and "got caught on the wrong side of the jetty." Officials say that their anchor snapped and they started drifting, closer to the jetty.

Galveston Beach Patrol launched their boat and sent a rescue truck to the shoreline in the area. Beach patrol transported the three people from the sailboat to its boat and took them to the yacht basin. The sea tow brought in the sailboat on Monday morning. Thankfully, everyone is safe after the incident.
