HUMBLE, Texas (FOX 26) - Assistant Superintendent for High Schools Trey Kraemer sent a letter with the following message to Humble High School parents and staff:
Dear HHS Parents and Staff,
Today, through our iHELP app, we were first notified that a threatening message had been written in a boys’ bathroom at Humble High School. The following words were then discovered on the wall: I will do a school shooting at Humble High School and Summer Creek. It’s six of us. Watch out these last few weeks of school.
As always, we take any comment about safety seriously and launched an immediate investigation involving police. No evidence of an actual threat has been found. If anyone has information, please contact Humble ISD Police at 281-641-7900, any school staff member, or submit a tip through iHELP. Anything you saw or heard is essential to share with our school staff.
Across the nation, schools have been dealing with messages that once investigated turn out to be false. These are disruptive and endanger the community by diverting police and other resources.
In an abundance of caution, Humble ISD Police will have additional officers on both campuses through the end of the school year.
