Galveston Island is getting ready for the annual Lone Star Rally.

Thousands are in town already and it all kicks off Friday, November 5th.

"It's a little hectic," said Gaido's restaurant manager, Brandon Ray. "Traffic is a little crazy but you know it's a lot of fun and it keeps us very busy here."

Ray said the Lone Star Rally brings anywhere from 30-40% boost in business. He said as a resident of Galveston he doesn't mind the extra traffic.

"It gets very noisy but it's worth it," he said.

Between Friday and Sunday the Lone Star Rally is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of bikers from all over the country. And not all of those attending are professional bikers. There are lawyers, doctors, and even your local insurance adjusters in attendance.

"We have a common bond," said biker and insurance adjuster, Glenn Lewis. "We all get along and we all have the same you know, I guess, thread there is."

You can expect to see live music, bike giveaways, and vendors of all sorts.

"Not everybody can ride a bike," said Lewis . "Not everybody has the skill set, not everybody has the balance, and not everybody wants to."
