President Trump made his much anticipated visit today to Las Vegas following the mass shooting saying America is truly a nation in mourning. He also called the shooter a "sick, demented man." While there, he also thanked law enforcement, telling them they "showed the world what professionalism is all about."
President Trump and the first lady visited the University Medical Center, meeting with victims and praising surgeons, nurses, and hospital staff. The president also honored civilians for their heroism. So many put their lives on the line to help others.
But while he may have been on his best behavior there, that isn't the case in Puerto Rico. President Trump is being called out for throwing paper towels to people, but mostly for a cringe-worthy comparison of Hurricane Maria with Hurricane Katrina. He didn’t stop there. President Trump also mentioned how expensive recovery efforts were, saying the island has thrown our budget out of whack.
