Report: Black women dying from breast cancer more than white women

Black women are dying from breast cancer way more than white women. A new report from the American Cancer Society shows that white women are 39 percent more likely to survive breast cancer than black women. In 2015, less than 20 out of every 100,000 white women succumbed to the disease while 30 out of every 100,000 black women died.

We want to know why it’s happening. On the Factor to talk about it is Dr. Maryam Shafaee with the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine.
