After spending the last five months as a prison inmate, rapper Meek Mill was released from a Philadelphia prison today.
He left in style, hopping into a helicopter that took him straight to the Philadelphia 76er's playoff game. He even got to ring the ceremonial bell before the start of the game.
The Pennsylvania supreme court ordered Mill's immediate release on unsecured bail.
The 30-year-old rapper has been jailed for five months, ever since he was sentenced to two to four years for violating probation on a nearly 10-year-old gun and drug case.
He'll remain free pending appeal of that case.
