October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. According to the American Psychology Association, more than one in three women and more than one in four men in the U.S. have been victims of sexual violence or stalking. One in five female high school students reports being abused by who they're dating. Every day, three or more women are murdered by their boyfriends or husbands. And according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, every minute 20 people are abused by their partner.
On the Factor are Orhonde Chapman, a domestic violence survivor, as well as Chau Nguyen with the Houston Area Women's Center.
