Michigan State University has reached a $500 million settlement with hundreds of women and girls who say they were sexually assaulted by former sports doctor Larry Nassar.
The 54-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting victims with his hands under the guise of treatment. He also possessed child pornography and is serving prison sentences that will likely keep him locked up for life.
The settlement only applies to Michigan State. Lawsuits are still pending against USA Gymnastics.
On the Factor to talk about this is one of the Houston-based attorneys working on this settlement, Mo Aziz.
