HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Philadelphia Eagles defensive end and Houston native Michael Bennett went before a Harris County judge today on a felony charge of injuring the elderly.
Bennett was in town watching his brother Martellus and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51 last year.
He's accused of shoving a 66-year-old paraplegic woman who was working security while rushing onto the field to celebrate the Patriots' victory.
Bennett was released on $10,000 bail.
His attorney, Rusty Hardin, says Bennett "flat out didn't do it."
The judge has allowed Bennett to travel to and from his home in Hawaii while he's out on bail.
On the Factor talk about this case is attorney Rick Detoto and sports reporter and host of Chalk Talk Kim Davis.
