Meet the couple behind The Green Book Project

- The motion picture "Green Book" tells the story of an Italian American man who accompanies a black piano prodigy on a road trip through the Jim Crow South in 1962.

The Negro Motorist Green Book was a travel guidebook used during the segregation era in the U.S. to help African Americans avoid getting arrested for violating segregation laws. The book listed places to stay that would not discriminate against blacks. The first listings were in metropolis settings like New York, Chicago and Detroit, but they soon found their way to the South and included locations in Houston.

Toya and Ruben Levi describe The Green Book Project in an interview with Isiah Carey.
