June is PTSD Awareness Month

We thank them for their service, then go on about our business without thinking about their mental health. That's the problem millions of veterans face after leaving the military.

One in three returning troops are being diagnosed with serious post-traumatic stress disorder. In 2009, 245 soldiers took their own lives. The actual statistics are always changing and moving when it comes to PTSD, but it's a serious issue we need to discuss. There is a focus on those who suffer from the illness in June.

On the Factor to talk about it from the PTSD Foundation of America and Camp Hope is David Maulsby, Shane Hawthorne from the U.S. Army and Collin Smith of the Marines.
