Flu & heart attack risk

As if this year’s severe flu season isn’t bad enough, there’s another concern connected to the virus.

Studies suggests the risk of heart attack is six times greater during the week after you're diagnosed with the flu as compared to a year before or after the infection.

They suspect the flu causes inflammation and stress, which can increase risk of heart attack. Your best defense? Get a flu shot. It's not too late.

On the Factor with more about this warning is Dr. Abdulla Kudrath, the owner and physician at Angleton E.R.
