Fight over what to call school course continues

It's a battle that was waged in eight different Texas cities today – educators and activists saying, “call it Mexican American studies.”

This comes after the Texas State Board of Education voted last month to create the course in high schools, but some say in “petty style” the mainly Republican-controlled board changed the name of the course saying Mexican American is divisive, so now it's called “Ethnic Studies: An Overview of Americans of Mexican Descent”.

On the Factor to talk about this is activist Tony Diaz.
