While most of Houston was preparing for a big Astros victory Wednesday morning, investigators say Irvin Dixon spent his 43rd birthday hunting for little boys on the streets of Houston.
Police say the already convicted sex offender spotted a 14-year-old male at a bus stop on Fondren. Investigators say Dixon then got out of his vehicle and told the teen he had a gun and to get into the car. Police say the boy jumped out of the vehicle and took off.
Sources close to the investigation say Dixon then found another 16-year-old male that same morning only blocks away. Police say that child was riding around with Dixon in his vehicle, but by that time police had received a 911 call from the 14-year-old boy. Cops pulled Dixon over and arrested him for attempted aggravated kidnapping.
Dixon is a convicted sex offender who was prosecuted in 1994 for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy. He's listed as a moderate risk.
The reality is there are people out there who wouldn't hesitate if given the opportunity to molest your child. What should you do? On the Factor with Parents Against Predators is Sonia Parker and Juan Cortez who represents to organization in the Precinct 6 area.
