Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton catching some serious heat for answering a female reporter's question saying, "I think it's funny to hear a female talk about routes." Jourdan Rodrigue, the reporter who asked him about routes didn't find his response funny at all but sexist. Rodrigue later tweeted "I don't think it's 'funny' to be a female and talk about routes. I think it's my job."
Dannon dropped Cam like it was hot today, ending its sponsorship agreement with the football star, saying his comments were "sexist and disparaging to all women." Cam tweeted a heartfelt apology tonight on Twitter saying what he did was "extremely unacceptable." He asked women all around the world to find the kindness in their hearts to forgive him.
He may have tweeted out an apology, but is it too late for him to say sorry? Sports journalist Kim Davis along with Dolores Lozano with ESPN 97.5 and SportsMap 94.1 and Robin Carlin from the Sean Salisbury Show on SportsMap.
