People are developing tons of theories from the mass shooting in Las Vegas as FOX 26 News awaits confirmed details from investigators, but here is what we have learned so far.
The shooter had rented a room at the Ogden Hotel in downtown Las Vegas in September during the Life Is Beautiful music festival, but had reserved it using Airbnb, which is odd because he was a high roller. He could have easily stayed in a comped room. Video from that hotel is being reviewed to see what he was up to during that stay. He also reserved rooms in Chicago in August during the Lollapalooza music festival -- two rooms with a view of that event. No one ever checked in to that room.
In his search history, Stephen Paddock had studied Fenway Park in Boston, the current site of MLB American League Division Series games.
At Mandalay Bay, he placed cameras on a hallway food cart, the room peephole and the living room that were not recording. His car, which was parked near the hotel, was packed with explosive materials, which leads to suspicion that he had planned a car bombing also, which would have required him to escape his room, but that never happened. Officers say they have evidence that he had planned to get out alive.
Paddock's autopsy has not been released yet, but people are eager to see it, including his own brother.
Remember that the University of Texas sniper's autopsy revealed a tumor that affected the part of his brain that handles aggression. A lot of people think Paddock had some kind of sickness that made him lash out.
There are still huge holes to be filled in the story with law enforcement officers saying the shooter had lived a double life for decades that they aren't sure they will ever really comprehend.
