Texans' J.J. Watt, Mercilus out for season from Sunday's injuries, confirms Texans coach

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will miss the rest of the 2017 season after he suffered a tibial plateau leg fracture during Sunday's game, coach Bill O'Brien said Monday.

Watt fractured the tibial plateau in his left leg during Houston's game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. He was injured as he attempted a block during the 42-34 loss.
