HOUSTON (FOX 26) - The 2016 school year has only just begun, but one woman has since been removed from the classroom after she was charged in an improper relationship with a Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District student.
Nicole Allyson Jakubiak, 36, was charged and released on a $20,000 bond.
Nicole Ray, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD assistant superintendent of communication and community relations, released the following statement on Monday:
We were outraged to learn of the serious allegations brought against a former teacher. Once we learned of the allegations, she was immediately removed from the campus, and we have been cooperating fully with law enforcement throughout their investigation. Violation of student trust will not be tolerated. Anyone engaging in inappropriate behavior will be dealt with swiftly and to the fullest extent of the law.
A Harris County Assistant District Attorney said that Jakubiak engaged in sexual intercourse with a secondary school student on May 18, according to the probable cause document filed in the case against her.
