Suspects arrested in fatal shooting of woman at SW Houston gas station

Houston police say two suspects have been arrested in the death of a woman who was shot at a southwest Houston gas station Monday night.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo says the HPD homicide unit has just filed capital murder charges on two suspects in the shooting death of Kiesha Price. Police identified the suspects as Jermia Guillory, 20, and D'Marquis Boone, 24. Police say capital murder charges are pending against them.

Officials say 30-year-old Kiesha Price was waiting on her boyfriend and her boyfriend's uncle in the backseat of a BMW when two men on BMX bicycles rode up beside the vehicle and attempted to get inside her car. The 30-year-old mother reportedly struggled with the men, and then she was shot, police said.

The clerk working inside the store at that time heard the gunshot and ran outside to help. The woman was taken to a hospital where she died.

Chief Acevedo says the suspects were also charged with an aggravated robbery they committed after the shooting.
