Suspect sketch released in girl's sexual assault

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of a man they are seeking to identify in the sexual assault of a girl on a jogging trail in The Woodlands area.

The sexual assault was reported on March 21. Investigators say the suspect attacked the girl from behind and sexually assaulted her on the trail near the intersection of Research Forest Drive and East Capstone Circle. He was then seen running away on the trail eastbound toward The Woodlands High School.

The girl described the suspect as possibly in his 20s and smelling of cigarettes. Investigators also say he stands at a height of between 5-feet 8-inches and 5-feet 11-inches tall with a medium build, dark-colored hair and thick eyebrows. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
