Suspect killed while allegedly trying to steal elderly couple's TVs

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police say a man was stabbed and killed while trying to steal TVs from a couple in southeast Houston at the El Dorado Apartments.

Officers say the couple was walking into their apartment unit when the man and a woman showed up trying to steal their TVs. Investigators say there was a struggle and the male would-be victim pulled a weapon to defend himself, his wife, and his property.

“There was a struggle with the elderly male and male suspect, and the elderly male grabbed a knife and stabbed the male suspect, who is deceased at the scene. The female suspect was also stabbed. She fled the scene but was later caught,” said E.P. Aguilera with the Houston Police Department

The victims received some bruises and were checked out at the hospital.  The male suspect is dead and the female suspect has been arrested.
