Bond increase in murder case of men set on fire

The Harris County District Attorney's Office has increased the bond amount for Curtis Holliman, who was charged with murder in the death of a man was lit on fire. Holliman appeared in court on Friday and the bond amount was upgraded from $50,000 to $100,000. Additional charges are pending against him.

Police arrested Curtis Holliman after Dexter Taylor suffered burns to his body and was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Holliman, 32, had argued with Taylor, 46, and another male before he threw gasoline on them and lit them on fire at a home on Ewing Street near the South Freeway in southeast Houston, according to police. The other male suffered body burns determined not to be life-threatening.
