Study: Parents eat 156 meals standing up every year

Parents, you might be able to relate. Do you often find yourself eating meals standing up? A new study says it’s actually the norm.

According to a new survey, most parents are so busy keeping the family’s schedule running they’re doing most of their eating standing up or on the go.

The survey found parents eat an average of 156 meals a year standing up. Researchers also say that parents are eating many of their meals while on the go.

Nine out of 10 parents said they were forced to consume unhealthy meals due to their hectic schedule.

The study focused on 2,000 parents. Researchers found that parents spend 27 hours a week conducting parental tasks. Parents reported that they only had 21 minutes of personal time per day.
